Century Logistics was founded in 1997 by Stephen & Ann Basey-Fisher and it remains a privately-owned business to this day. It has grown both in size and strength due to the excellent relationships we have with our customers and our continued support in their growth.

Currently, we employ over 120 staff with 450,000+ sq ft of warehousing over six sites in East Anglia and one in Nottingham and are looking at further growth over the coming year. We believe in offering customers a tailor-made solution with the service levels they would expect from an inhouse operation, whilst still being able to offer flexibility.

We have over 40 customers who are mainly multinational or UK leading companies that work within retail and eCommerce. Whilst we are the number one partner in the UK nursery industry, working with the likes of Maxi-Cosi & Uppababy, we also work in many other sectors from dance & fitness with Capezio (world’s largest dancewear brand), Concept 2 (rowing machines), and Cannondale bikes. Drinks with Greene King & Sodastream and eCommerce with Flooring Supplies (UK’s largest online flooring company).

Having spent many years operating within the retail sector we have become accustomed to both supplying the high street along with the more demanding eCommerce customers. Our customer SKU’s range from a few hundred to over twenty thousand items per operation.

As a 3PL provider we also manage the following services and, whilst these may not be of interest, it hopefully shows our breadth of services.

- After sales customer services handling over 12,000 customer contacts per month

- Warranty repairs processing 1,200 repairs per month

- eCommerce sales of returns and end of line goods for our customers

- Storage and distribution of goods for retail, eCommerce, industrial and manufacturing use

We differentiate ourselves by working far closer with our customers by understanding what they want rather than what the 3PL does, whilst helping them achieve the most cost-effective solution. We always aim to sell a full solution rather than just a service.

Century can work with a customer in many ways, from just providing the site and staff to taking on both the customers staff and the warehouse lease. We can also secure warehouses for our customers to rent or purchase. We take the view that it is the long-term relationship and contract we would prefer rather than short-term profit.
